Pudding Painting

Yesterday we were invited to a friends house for a pudding painting party. Who knew pudding could be so much fun and so messy. And my neat freak Kolton had a blast with the pudding painting.
He was a little shy at first, but it didnt take long for him to take a bite.

Then watch out! The hands were in and the pudding starting flying all over.

He started clapping his hands and saying, "what a mighty mess" over and over again. I am not sure where that came from, but it inspired Karley to atleast did in one finger.

She wasnt so sure, but she finally agreed to get a tiny bit messy.

Everyone washing off all their pudding paint. Except Karley who was exceptionally clean and just wanted to sit and snack!! The pudding party was a blast for sure. I am going to have to remember that one and steal the idea sometime!!

Splash Park

Special thanks to Kaleena and Matthew for taking us to NRH2O to play today. It was kind-of chilly and rainy, but the kids had a blast. The mommies were a little cool in the water, but it sure beats being HOT. Thanks so much Kaleena we had a blast.

Karley splashing in the waves!!!!

Kolton and Karley loved splashing and Kolton thought the wave pool was fun... from the edge :)

Dora Live

Today we went and saw Dora Live at Nokia theatre. Karley was so excited. As soon as we walked in she said, "Whoo hoo Yeah Dora show!" It was so cute!

Kolton was really excited to go to the show, but not all that thrilled once we were there. He didnt like the noises or the lights and he kept trying to escape by telling us he needed to go to the bathroom. He just sat there and watched the show, but he didnt really do anything or interact.

Karley on the other hand had a blast. She sang and clapped and danced and cheered for everyone that came on the stage.

Zoo day!!!

It is Z day already. Here we are all ready to go to the zoo. Ready to beat the heat with our new shades ( both kids lost their glasses somewhere at the zoo. I think the monkies have Kolton and the tigers have Karley's)

First stop Flamingo's. Kolton wasnt really too interested, but Karley was really excited to see the animals.

Posing with the penguins

" Look Mommy Giraffes." Karley was loving the animals. She wanted to get down and play with all of them. She wanted to ride on the elephant and swim with the hippos. She was so funny. She kept wanting to get in and play with the animals.

Kolton was having fun with the baby elepahnt. They both thought it was fun to play with the baby elephant.

Kalrey wanted to hug the elephant... and kiss and elephant... and hug him again.

The zebra's were popular. Kolton really wanted to see the zebras because they started with Z. Then once we got there Karley loved them. She kept wanting to go back and see the zebras.

Petting Goats at the petting zoo. I was shocked. Kolton brushed a goat and pet a chicken, but Karley wouldn't touch them. Usually she does everything and kolton just watches.

The little farm play area was the highlight of the trip. On the way home I asked them what their favorite part was and they both said, " the farm" There werent even any animals at the farm, it was just a little play area. I asked them what their favorite animal was at the zoo and karley said ducks and Kolton said the cow... both of which were at the play area!!! SO i guessed i pushed a stroller all around the zoo for nothing. We should have gone to the farm :)

Karley kept asking if she could ride the animals... finally she got something to ride on!

We are ready to do letter Z already. I can't believe the summer is almost over. The kids and i have had lots of fun going all over the metroplex the last 2 months. None of us sit home very good. Every morning Kolton asks, "mommy, where are we going to go today?"

Karley giving our friend Austin a hug at the splash park. He wasnt too interested.

Karley splashing in the pool. Both kids pretty much just hang on me, i dont know why i bother taking them. They dont play with any of the fun things.

V day

I was really trying to take a day off, but Kolton wont let me so we are already on the letter V. We will be finished with our alphabet on Friday. According to me schedule we were going to finish the alphabet the first week of August just in time for mommy to go back to work, but according to Kolton's schedule we will be finished on FRIDAY. So zoo here we come if anyone wants to join us. We will be sweating all day Friday!!

V day Visors

And in case anyone was worried. Everyone is still going potty!! Even the stuffed animals are now forced to take a trip to the potty. Karley makes everything go potty. Everytime she plays with her doll house everyone must sit on the potty and she rarely takes a trip without a stuffed animal. Perhaps i am pressuring her a little too much :)

Happy Birthday Alex

I knew GG would be disappointed she missed out on Alex's birthday so here are a couple of pics of his little celebration at our house.
